Dean Professor Charles Daly The Faculty of Food Science and Technology is internationally recognised for the excellence of its education, research and training programmes and is unique in Ireland for its commitment to Food Science and Technology, Food Business and Food Biotechnology. The Faculty has a major involvement with national and international EU research programmes and industry. Together with its associated research centres, The National Food Biotechnology Centre (NFBC - BioResearch Ireland) and the Centre for Co-operative Studies, the Faculty has 40 professors and lecturers, 80 research scientists, 180 postgraduate students, 25 technical and 20 administrative staff. It occupies a dedicated Food Science and Technology Complex including an extensive Food Processing Hall and specialised laboratory facilities.
